What is a CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. When you join a CSA Farm Share Program, you purchase a “share” — or portion — of a farmer’s crops direct from the farmer in advance. Your CSA payment provides up-front financial support to the farmer to purchase seeds and any supplies needed to ensure a good harvest. In return, you are guaranteed a share of the farmer’s bountiful harvest! As a Mill City Grows CSA participant, you’re supporting our non-profit organization, local agriculture, and all the small family farms that work year-round to provide nutritious, diverse crops to our communities.
A Mill City Grows CSA is a mix of our own crops and crops grown by our local partner farms and farmers. We also include locally made pantry goods such as grains, sauces, and relishes.
