10 Years of Digging Lowell!
In 2022, Mill City Grows worked with our partners throughout the City to host 10 Events Celebrating 10 Years!
Our events included a seed swap and plant sale to get the growing season started, a panel discussion on our Community Food Assessment, a talk with local author Jessica Lander, opportunities to get down in the dirt at our Urban Farm, and town hall sessions to discuss planning for the future. Altogether, 900+ people attended these events, hosted between March and October of 2022.
With help from donors and sponsors, we raised over $120,000 to support Mill City Grows food justice mission. Most importantly, we made in-person connections with the community and enjoyed the outdoors, great food, and each other’s company.
